To raise awareness of hepatitis C in the South Asian community in West Yorkshire, on World Hepatitis Day (WHD) on 28 July 2024, Asjad Mehmood South Asian Peer Lead with the Hepatitis C Trust team took part in a radio show on Fever FM to talk about hepatitis.
His discussion covered a number of areas about hepatitis which included the symptoms, transmission routes, testing and treatment. He also discussed the language barrier issue that South Asian communities often faced, and he finished the discussion with a message to listeners in Urdu.
