On the 11 February 2025, the Community Liver Health Checks team from West Yorkshire Operational Delivery Network (ODN), supported by staff from the Hepatology team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust held an event at City Park Bradford. The liver scanning event was opened to the public and the team offered a free liver scan and advice about liver care.
Even with the inclement weather the event proved popular with 34 members of the public having a liver scan, with health and wellbeing advice provided and many more receiving information about liver health and signposted to other services where they could find more information. Most of the attendees were from the Bradford area, although some had travelled from further afield to access the service. Those patients who could not wait for a scan on the day, were directed to the ODN our website events page to identify the location of future events.
