The Community Liver Health Checks (CLHC) Team, part of West Yorkshire Liver Care Operational Delivery Network (ODN) were winners in Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust (LTHT) Time to Shine Awards.
The awards ceremony took place on Friday 5 July 2024 at Leeds Dock, the CLHC team were shortlisted in the Effective development and deployment of new assets category, and won.
There was stiff competition in the category, the team were up against four other services in LTHT, Blood Transfusion, Patient Hub for Outpatient Services, Robotic Theatres and Telecommunications.
Members of the team, both clinical and non-clinical, attended and received the award on behalf of the ODN.
The Community Liver Checks is a service offered by West Yorkshire Liver Care Operational Delivery Network, which aims to scan at risk populations for liver disease. The service operates across West Yorkshire, providing a Fibroscan screening service for patients referred by their GP or at events open to the public. The service gives individuals an opportunity to prioritise their liver health by having a liver scan and gain valuable information about how to improve their liver health.
